MISSOULA – Joseph V. Breider, 57 of Missoula passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at his home in Missoula.
Joe was born in Butte, Montana. He lived between the homes of his grandparents, J.W. Breider and Vera Breider, in Dayton, Washington. Later, he would move to Troy, Montana, where he resided with his father, August Vincent Breider, until he was 18 years of age. Joe then decided to make the move to Missoula, Montana, where he would settle down and call home until his recent passing.
Joe worked as a janitor for many years at Flipper’s Bar and Casino. He resided at the Bridger apartments off Broadway. He had a love for fishing, hunting, and riding his bike everywhere he went. Joe loved to cook meals for the people that lived in his apartment complex, especially during the holidays. Doing this simple act of kindness made him feel good. Joe said, “seeing people smile around the holidays makes me happy”. He always stressed the importance of family, and that no matter how mad a family member was, they should never forget the importance of continuing to love one another.
He had one good friend that he would visit with every day and have a few good laughs or a hearty meal with. Cody, the family wants to thank you for being there for Joe and being such a good friend to him.
