Joseph Ian Mavros, 43 of Victor passed away January 5, 2015 as the result of an accident near Lolo.
- Joe was born August 6, 1971 in Hamilton to Art and Jean Mavros. When Joe finished High School he went to work as a logger working as a professional sawyer. He sawed for larger contractors around Missoula including Plumb Creek, Stimpson and numerous Helicopter companies around the North West. He also ran logging equipment for these companies when there was not enough work sawing.
- Joe loved to hunt and fish, work on cars and spend time with his kids. He also liked to horn hunt and pick Morrell Mushrooms after fires. Joe enjoyed making exotic wooden furniture from Burls and Antlers.
- He was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Mavros in 1995 and uncles, LeRoy, Max and Tony.
- Surviving include his parents, Art and Jean Mavros of Corvallis; son, Jake of Hamilton and his mother Janet Ohl; step-children, Justin and Jordan both of Stevensville and their mother Latressa Wood; brothers, Jamie of Victor, Robin (Jodie) of Darby, David (Debbie) of Hamilton and Tim of Hamilton; sister, Rosalie of Missoula; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
