Joyce Janiece Anderson

March 8, 1942 — October 28, 2013

HAMILTON - Joyce Janiece Anderson, 70, of Hamilton passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. She was born March 8, 1943 in Pueblo, CO the daughter of James W. and Loree V. (Coleman) Howerton.

Joyce attended school most of her 12 years while living in Bellvue, CO. She graduated from Cache La Poudre High School in Laporte, CO. Joyce excelled in school and was on the honor roll numerous times. She played the bass clarinet and won numerous awards. Joyce placed second in solo clarinet in the Colorado State band competition.

Joyce was not the family dead head. There was always something going on where ever she was. After high school she moved to Springfield, OR, singing on weekends at the Dexter Club with her brother, Lynn.

Joyce married Dee Kidder of Eugene, OR shortly there after. They had 2 daughters, Sharee Miller McKinney and Loree Kidder. They later divorced.

Joyce began her life long battle dealing with bipolar disorder soon after. At her most psychotic times, Joyce kept a spotless home and a good work ethic. Joyce later married Loren Anderson in Cottonwood, ID after caring for his 4 children for several years. She had 2 children of her own during this union.

Through out her life she has always had her "Mojo" with men. Her last relationship was quite long and her favorite with Alex Leopolde. Together they enjoyed a happy little life in Missoula for many years and had many friends.

Her greatest joys were singing with her children and grandchildren. One thing she was great at was being a gramma, all of them adored her. Joyce was the cookie baker, the problem fixer and the best gramma ever. Joyce's life long friend, Jim McCloud stood by her through thick and thin and she did the same for him. They shared many adventures and tons of love. She will be missed by all of us.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; beloved step-mother, Chloe; brother, Lynn; sister, Virginia Brystol; step-daughter, Barbara Ruiz; and 3 grandchildren, Lora Marie Flam, Amber Marie Grey and Adriana Charee Sweeny. She is survived by her sisters, Ruby (Wendell) Shields of Lander, WY, Toots Krumdick of Ft. Collins, CO and Verna (Bill) Molenda of Darby; her children, Sharee Miller McKinney, Loree Dawn Kidder, Carol Whalen, Donna Anderson, David Anderson, Thomas Anderson and Lorene Anderson; and numerous grandchildren.
