Judy Lee (Nielsen) Owings

Hamilton - On Sept. 22, 2021, Judy Lee (Nielsen) Owings of Hamilton, Montana, passed away at the age of 76. While in the care of Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital, and with family by her side, Judy lost her battle with breast cancer, but now rests in eternal peace.

She was born to the late Max & Leah (Boulter) Nielsen, February 20, 1945, in American Fork, Utah. Judy graduated from Corvallis High School in 1963. She was always a hard worker and throughout the years worked various jobs including Evans Furniture, Osburn Dairy, A&W, 4B’s Restaurant, and Calamity Jane’s. Judy is survived by her two children, James “Chris” (Laurel)Owings, Carrie (Eric Dinkel) Hartford; grandchildren, Jacade Owings, LaDawn McMillan & family, Stacey Horvath & family, Ashlee Cushing & family. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by Nile Nielsen, Doug & Martha Nielsen, and Jane & Larry Bumgarner. Judy was a loving mother, an avid book reader, and bowling enthusiast. She was quiet, kind, and eternally caring. Judy was loved by many and missed by all.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
