June Iliff Dwigans was born in Hollister, Idaho on June 12, 1931 to Florence Dudley Iliff and Wiley Iliff. She was raised in Hollister, Idaho. She graduated from Filer High School in Filer, Idaho in 1950. She attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, where she met her future husband, Ronald Dean Dwigans. They were married on July 4, 1952 at Island Park, Idaho.
June taught school in Idaho before moving to the Bitterroot Valley in 1969. She and Ron owned and operated several businesses in the Bitterroot; Hamilton Saddlery and Western Wear, Bighorn Leather, Rocky Knob Lodge and Haigh's Bar. June had a great sense of humor and made friends easily wherever she went. She loved to cook and always had room for one more at the table. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, who always put the needs of others ahead of herself.
June was preceded in death by her husband in 2008.
She is survived by sons, Kurt and Jeff of Hamilton; daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Dembisky of Darby, Casie (Bob) Gilmore of Ft. Collins, CO., and Kellie Blessinger of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Joy Dwigans of Idaho Falls, ID; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1st at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. Interment will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby.
