HAMILTON - Karen Marie Pelc, 34, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 due to injuries sustained in a snowmobiling accident. She was born July 19, 1974 in Carlisle, PA the daughter of William and Natalie (Smith) Pelc.
- Karen was raised and educated in the Bitterroot Valley. She attended school in Stevensville and graduated from Stevensville High School in 1992. After high school Karen began working with the Ravalli County Sheriff's Office with the Reserves.
- She spent all of her life in community service. Karen was most recently employed at the Skalkaho Steak House. She spent the last 2 years of her life with and taking care of Randy Sacks.
- Karen loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, snowmobiling, photography, and gardening. She loved anything to do with the outdoors. Karen will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her zest for life and her love for Randy.
- Karen is survived by her fianc, Randy Sacks, of Hamilton; her mother and step-father, Natalie and Dennis Meisinger of Olathe, CO; her father and step-mother, Bill and Kathleen Pelc of Dillon, MT; Randy's sons, Tyler and Michael Sacks both of Hamilton; her brother, Gregory Pelc and wife Diane of Hamilton; her step-brothers and sisters, Stephanie Malone, Brent, Jennifer and Dennis J. Meisinger, Penny Laspina, Willie Ann Olivas and Janelle Kinney; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
