CORVALLIS - Karri Lynn Posten Easley was born in Carson City, Nevada on August 18, 1960. She was raised in Northern California and graduated from Ponderosa High School in 1978. She gave birth to two sons, Merrill and Adam Sept and a daughter, Jacquelynn Sept. She worked for Placer County Title Co., BlueShield, Sierra School, and El Dorado Co. Ambulance billing in Placerville California. She moved to Corvallis Montana in 2000 and began attending the nursing program at the University of Montana 2001 in order to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After graduating in 2003, she worked for Discovery Home Health Care, Marcus Daily Hospice and Saint Patrick's Hospital as a compassionate and devoted nurse. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 and underwent major surgery and several months of chemotherapy. After recovering from that she continued her work as a nurse. Karri always had a special gift for helping others. She never had a frown, always a smile and plenty of love to give. The most important things in her life were her family and friends. Karri was always an exciting person to be around and was a true kid at heart. She loved riding dirt bikes and taught her kids how to ride. She loved flying with her father on clear days. Her favorite thing to do was play with all of her grandchildren. Karri is survived by her parents, Bill and Bonnie Posten, brother, David Posten, her husband, Robert Easley, her sons' Merrill and Adam Sept, daughter, Jacquelynn Nigro, five grandsons, and three granddaughters. Karri passed away on March 8th at home with her family by her side in the care of Aspen Hospice and her family after a long fight with complications from a reoccurrence of cancer. She was loved by all and will be missed forever.
