VICTOR - Ken Kostka, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He lived his early years on farms in Illinois and Michigan where he learned about hard work, perseverance, and the love of music. After high school graduation, he spent time in the Army, then lived in California and began his career in the United States Post Office and finally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he retired.
Ken explored many parts of the United States including Florida and Hawaii where he fulfilled his dream of living on the big island. Some years later, he moved back to California, visited Reno and finally settled in Montana.
Throughout his life, Ken loved music, had a beautiful singing voice, and performed in numerous musical productions. Later in life, he played the organ at churches and events.
Ken had a gentle, calm and friendly manner. He was generous with his time and connected with many people throughout his life. Ken will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Ken is survived by sister, Barbara Rose; and nieces, Carol, Nancy and Tricia.
Visitation will be from 9:00 until 9:30 a.m. at the Bitterroot Church of the Nazarene in Victor with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Victor Cemetery with a reception following at the church social hall.
