Kenneth D. Baier

Stevensville - Kenneth D. Baier, 81 of Stevensville passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Community Medical Center in Missoula.
Ken was born June 15, 1928 in Fessenden, North Dakota to the late Jake and Emma Baier. Following graduation from High School he entered the US Army where he served as a Corporal in the 42nd Field Artillery. He married Patsy Ellen Langley on November 17, 1954. Ken worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union.
Ken was a member of the Mason's, St. Stephens Episcopal Church, enjoyed wood working and his horse.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ellen Baier; brother, Arthur Baier; sister, Doris Clevenger and his parents, Jake and Emma Baier.
Surviving include his son, Mark D. Baier of Stevensville; daughter, Melissa (Scott) Herring of Glendive, MT.; grandchildren, Kenny Baier, Amanda Baier, Ashley Baier, DJ Baier and Brooke Herring; 2 sisters and 2 brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels Program, 310 Old Corvallis Rd., Hamilton, MT 59840.
