Kenneth Earl McCarty, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2024, in Hamilton, Montana, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 7th, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland to Norman and Myra Jane. Ken grew up primarily in St. Louis, MI alongside his 6 siblings, Deborah, Janette, Donna, Johnny J, Tammy, and K.C. Ken's journey was one of faith, laughter, and unwavering commitment to his family.
At the age of 15, Ken embarked on a new chapter by moving to Garden Grove, California and began roofing with his father. In March of 1981 he encountered the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through his neighbor Donna. This encounter marked a significant turning point in his life, guiding him towards a path of faith and yearning to share the gospel with others.
In 1988, Ken found another blessing in his life when he married his beloved wife Debra, introduced to each other by her father, Clyde, whom Ken knew from church. Their union brought forth 35 years of cherished marriage. Ken embraced his new role as a stepfather to Debra's son Christopher and welcomed the joy of fatherhood when their son Kevin completed their family of four in 1991.
In pursuit of a life with more space and tranquility, Ken and his family relocated to Phelan, California, in 2002. There, he found support and community in the brothers at Calvary Chapel of Phelan. After retiring from a nearly 50-year career in the roofing industry Ken embarked on yet another adventure, moving to Hamilton, Montana to be closer to his son's family.
Throughout his life, Ken's faith and impressive sense of humor carried him through joys and challenges, serving as a light and encouragement to those around him. Ken's final moments were a testament to his unwavering faith and courage, as he faced his passing with bravery and anticipation of uniting with his Savior.
