The family of Kent Scott Olson want to announce his joyful reunion with his wife and sweetheart, Nola Ricks Olson on August 10th, 2014. Kent leaves a community, church, building profession and family better for his contributions and service during his mortal journey.
- Kent lived by the tenets taught by Jesus Christ. His faiths in an Eternal life with God, the reality of eternal families and his reliance on the grace of Jesus Christ, have been steady guides throughout his life.
- He loved Montana, her abundant outdoors, her beauty, and her kind people. He spent thousands of hours enjoying the wonders of nature, often with a fishing rod in his hands. Kent left his mark by building hundreds of solid family homes, churches and other buildings across much of Montana. His family extends their thanks to a wonderful state that he called home for over 55 years.
- To the community of Florence, we extend our thanks. They made it hard to give back more than he received. They stepped up and were a gentle support during the hard times in life. They have been kind in every aspect of life. He served as a Little League coach, and as a school board chairman and member.
- To the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in this area, we give our thanks. You helped him establish a place and a pattern to raise a family in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and an outlet for his faith and the service that flows from such faith. You have been a source of infinite support, inspiration and true examples of discipleship.
- To his extended family, Kent always believed that family and friends were the core of his life. He valued them above all else.
- To his Sister Merri and her family, we know he loved and respected you deeply. He cherished you and your family.
- To his children and their spouses: Scott and Lori Olson, Rick and Anne Olson, Randy and Laura Olson, Wendy and Rick Berezay, Jim and Becky Olson and Julie and Matt Ludlow, and his grandchildren: Chad, Cammie, Holly, Rebecca, Ryan, Ben, Stefani, Jacob, Brittany, Carl, Charcie, Sydney, Jenna, Tai, Diana, Dillon, Duncan, Lindy, Kristina, Conner, Derek, Kate, Will, Lauryn, Kyle and his 22 great-grandchildren, you are an extension of him. Always cherish his example in the way he cared for his Nola. Follow the pattern he set of service, kindness, love, and humility. Stay close, love and support each other. Live your life so that you can be with him in Gods kingdom. This would be his greatest desire.
- We commit to him to honor his life in the way we live ours.
