Kimberly Nadine Goin-Hoke, 55 of Darby passed away Thursday, November 10th at her residence in Darby.  Kim went to the Lord after a long struggle and battle with Cancer, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 14, 1961 in Corning, California the daughter of John and Alice Goin.  Kim graduated from High School in Anderson, California.  She married Jerry Hoke and has worked as Dorm Staff at the Trapper Creek Job Corps.

Kim had a strong will to live, an unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through 7 months of her struggle with AML Leukemia.  There will never be a stronger woman then her.  Her love for the outdoors and life in general carried her through life.  She was the light of the party and put a smile on every ones face.  She was the mom to those who needed one, a friend to everyone and always had a shoulder to cry on.  She would not want us to be here sitting and crying, but be celebrating her life and all the amazing ways she affects each one of us.

Kim enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling watching football and spending quality time with family and friends.

She leaves behind her parents John and Alice Goin; husband, Jerry Hoke; sons, Luke Rowland, Travis (Nicole) Walker, Justin Walker all of Hamilton and daughter, Ashlee (Kevin) Wiltbank of North Carolina; 5 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and a brother, Hoss Goin.

A celebration of life potluck will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 13th at the Darby Community Club House with Pastor John Yuhas officiating.  Everyone touched by Kim’s life is welcome.

The family suggests memorials to the gardens at Trapper Creek Job Corps.

One of Kim’s favorite quotes, “It’s always 5 O’clock somewhere!”
