Larry Johnson

November 23, 1940 — October 10, 2022

Larry C. Johnson – Born November 23, 1940, in rural Furnas County, Nebraska. Parents – Chester and Grace Johnson. Larry attended Beaver City schools, then went to and graduated from Kearney College in Kearney, Nebraska.

Larry moved to Denver, Colorado, where he met and married Alberta Powers on November 7, 1964. Their first son, Travis, was born on July 19, 1967, and their second son Heath on March 14, 1971.

During their time in Colorado, Larry worked for a CPA firm, Plasticrafts, and after some years, he purchased Plasticare, which he owned and ran until selling the company in 2013 or 2014. He retired and remodeled their home in Evergreen. They sold their house in 2015 to move to Hamilton, Montana.

Larry is survived by his wife, 2 sons, a brother, 2 sisters, and numerous other relatives.

During Larry’s life, he showed dogs and was a co-breeder of several litters, mainly Irish Setters. He is missed by all who knew him, including members of the BPOE Elks Lodge in Hamilton.

A memorial get-together for family and friends will be held at the Hamilton Elks Lodge on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 4:00 pm.
