HAMILTON – Lawrence “Larry” Everett Williams, 92, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was born May 9, 1924 in Levy, Arkansas the son of Everett Malachi and Annette (Pasels) Williams.
Larry joined the U.S. Air Force as a young 18 year old man, serving as a navigator during WWII. During this time he was stationed in Italy where he flew 50 ½ missions. Larry retired after WWII but was called back to active duty and served as a supply officer again being stationed around the world in many places including Japan and New Foundland. Larry retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1970 after serving his country for 28 years.
Larry has been a lifetime member of the MOAA ( Military Officers Association of America), the American Legion, the Lion’s Club, the Hamilton Senior Citizens Center and the Hamilton Presbyterian Church.
After knowing each other for many years, Lawrence and Mildred Taylor reunited and were married on December 13, 2008 in Hamilton where they made their home.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mildred Taylor Williams of Hamilton; half-sister, Kaye Poole of London, England; Son, Larry Williams, Jr. and wife Beverly of Tacoma, WA; step-children, Clark Llewellyn and wife Beverly of Hawaii, Jean Brennan of Hamilton, Connie Harwood of Missoula, Courtney Taylor and wife Nedra of Corvallis, Kathy Troester of Frenchtown, Brian Taylor and wife Betty of Plains and Rick Taylor and wife Kristin of Missoula. Others important in Larry’s life are Rev. Jim Mums and family, several nieces and nephews, and all his step-grandchildren and their families who loved him so much. Larry will be remembered as a kind southern gentleman.

Memorial services with full Military Honors will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room. Private family interments will take place at the Western Montana Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel.
