Leona Ruth Merrick

CORVALLIS - Leona Ruth Merrick (3/14/42-11/19/20) left us bereft after a sudden battle with cancer. The three men to whom she was devoted in her life were her father, Happy (Nephi) A. Draves, husband Glen L. Tomlinson & her great love, David A. Merrick of Corvallis, MT.

She raised her daughters, Tammy R. Puthoff and Lorri L. Thompson, divorced then helped raise Robert A. and Thomas A. Merrick.

Her tenacious, creative, and industrious nature was shared to all in her accomplishments of cooking, baking, decorating and as seamstress, artist, volunteer or special needs educator. All and more while looking as great as possible. Enjoyment of nature, beauty, thirst for learning, clothes, her home and dear cats restored her soul.

Siblings, Linda J. Lemmon, Mark A. and Kent D. Tomlinson, Leroy C. Draves, five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren join in remembering her with a sunrise or shared favorite recipe. Leona joins the souls of her mother Thelma L., stepdad Norman W. & brother, Danny M. Tomlinson.

Leona thought watching TV a huge waste of time so instead be active and support libraries, artists, needy animal, or family shelters donations, or share homemade treats with neighbors in lieu of flowers at this time.
