May 26, 1930 — May 5, 2017

VICTOR – Leora M. Bowdino, 86, of longtime resident of Victor, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 5, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Santa Fe, NM.  She was born May 26, 1930 in Rattle Snake Buttes, CO the daughter of James and Gracie Kenner.

Leora married Charles “Charlie” Bowdino in Walsenberg, CO on January 15, 1948.  She was active in her church, an avid gardener and very faithful leading her Ladies Bible Study Groups for many years in her home.  Leora and Charlie ranched and raised their family in LeVeta Co.  They spent 8 years in the Mission field in Brazil and retired to the Bitterroot Valley in 1975.  At Any time you would find her preparing food and serving other people in her home.  She was loved by her family and Friends.

Leora was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, on May 10, 2008.  She is survived by her son, Tony and his wife Deb; 3 daughters, Donna and husband Jack, Iris and husband Gary, and Bonnie; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 2:00 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel with burial to follow in the Victor Cemetery.  There will be a reception following the committal service at the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church at 1297 Meridian Rd, Victor.  Flowers are welcome or memorials will be accepted by Bonnie McCalla to Leora's long supported Missionary Projects.
