Leroy S. Waliser

June 2, 1954 — December 1, 2020

HAMILTON - Leroy S. Waliser, 66, of Hamilton passed away December 1, 2020 at his home from complications of Multiple Myeloma.  He was born June 2, 1954 in Hamilton, MT the son of the late Nick and Clara Waliser.

Leroy graduated from Corvallis High School in 1974 and attended Missoula Vo-Tech, graduating their Heavy Equipment Operator program.  In 1976 he moved to Glendive, MT and worked installing natural gas pipelines.  In 1980 he met Linda Knott and they were married in 1983.   They moved to Texas for a short time then moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1984.  Leroy worked for several excavation companies while in Colorado.  In 1995 they moved to Linda’s home state of Minnesota then in 1997 moved back to Montana. Leroy continued working in the excavation and sand and gravel business until he was forced to retire in 2017 due to his health.

Leroy enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time riding horse and camping with Linda.  They spent many years exploring the mountains of Colorado and Montana on horseback.  Leroy also enjoyed fishing, hunting and just working around his home.

Leroy was preceded in death by his brother, Michael in 1978; his father, Nick in 1997; his mother, Clara in 2010; and his brother Charlie 2010.

Leroy is survived by his wife, Linda of Hamilton, MT; his sister, Elaine (Richard) of Newman Lake WA; sister, Irene (Butch) of Lewistown MT; brother, Emil of Zap ND; nephews, John Fotland and Bradley White; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
