HAMILTON - Lewis Elmer Ohl, 88, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Discovery Care Centre. He was born September 1, 1921 in the Sula Basin, MT the son of Joseph Lester and Cecil Addie (Ward) Ohl.
- Lewis attended school through the 11th grade until he had to quit to take care of his sick mother. Lewis was married to Ellen Paddock and they later divorced. He then married his 2nd and best wife, Lucille Piersoll. Lewis loved his family and he also loved to play music in his band, the Mountain Shadow Band.
- Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Mary Pendergraft and Ruth Miller; his son, Ward Ohl; his daughter, Carol Jean Cartwright; and 2 great-grandsons, Farron Ohl Jr. and Cody Ohl. He is survived by his wife Lucille of Hamilton; 2 sons, Earl Ohl (Cassandra) and Ray Ohl; grandchildren, Skip Cartwright, Farron Ohl, Tiana Hader, Janet Ohl and Dawn Ohl; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Tyler, Magen, Austin, Jacob and SyAnn; and his brother, Glen (Cecelia) Ohl.
- Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel with burial to follow at the Corvallis Cemetery. There will be a reception following the committal service in the funeral homes' community room.
