They were married in 1967 and later divorced. On May 5, 1979 she married Reiner Strauch to whom she had been introduced by mutual friends, Henry and Anna Schoen. As an accomplished chef, Reiner was employed (and they lived) at several locations in Illinois and Wisconsin before settling in Eagle River. For a time Linda Kay worked in the Deli of Trig’s Supermarket. She and Reiner had enjoyed 37 years of marriage until his death in 2016. She moved to Milestone Assisted Living in Rhinelander last year. Throughout the years Reiner and Linda Kay took trips to Germany, Montana, California and Arizona to visit family. They also enjoyed a cruise to Alaska. On a number of occasions they welcomed family and friends as guests in their home. Linda Kay enjoyed reading and watching television, especially Jeopardy.
