Lois Doris Allen

1928-2024

Lois Doris Allen, age 95, died of natural causes on February 8, 2024. She was born in Drumright, Oklahoma.  She lived with her husband, Joe, in Wichita, KS, where they raised racehorses.  Then they were stationed in various locations around the US while he worked for the US Navy.  After retirement they lived in Rockport, TX and Hamilton, MT.  She was a wife and mother, and she enjoyed bowling, creating ceramic art, jewelry, and dolls.

She is survived by her children, Ray Allen (Rockport, TX), Linda Allen (Hamilton, MT), Bob Allen (Lake Fork, TX), Dave Allen (Hamilton, MT), Don Allen (Austin, TX), Ron Allen (Silverdale, WA), and Debbie Allen (OR).  She is preceded in death by her husband Joe, and daughters Gail Allen and Connie Cooper.  She will be buried with her husband at the Western Montana Veterans Cemetery, MT.

In addition to her children, Lois is survived by her brother Chet Angel (Hamilton, MT), 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. A service will be held at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel, 1010 West Main Street, Hamilton, MT on Saturday, February 24th at 11 am.  A light lunch will be served afterwards at the same location.
