Lorena Patzer Wood

HAMILTON - Lorena Patzer Wood, 82, of Hamilton died Thursday, April 5, 2012 of natural causes. Lorena was the youngest of nine children born to Ed and Eva Bender Patzer. She was born in Harvey, North Dakota on November 14, 1929.

When she was three years old, the family moved to Grantsdale, Montana.

The family then moved to Hamilton where Lorena attended school until her freshman year when she and her mother spent several months in Vancouver, Washington where her father was working at a defense plant. Upon returning to Hamilton, Lorena attended Hamilton High School and enjoyed working at Wells Creamery. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1947.

Lorena married William "Buz" Wood on August 23, 1947. She spent twenty years living in Missoula and returned to Hamilton in 1968 where she and her husband built a house up Hamilton Heights where they resided for the next thirty A
