Lorraine Joann Hayes

Hamilton - Lorraine JoAnn Hayes, 75 of Hamilton went peacefully Saturday, July 25, 2009 to be with the Lord with her family and loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 14, 1934 in Wallace, Idaho to Alphonse and Ethel Forgette. She joined three brothers Leonard, Dewayne and Ed and her sister Eyvonne.
She and her family moved to Philipsburg, MT when she was 11, there she finished school. She married Gerald Barney, two daughters were born during her marriage to Gerald, Margie and Sherrie. After losing Gerald in a hunting accident, she moved her family to Butte, MT. There she met and married Thomas R. Morgan, together they had three children Donna, Ricky and David. She later lost her son Ricky at age 5 to cancer and then Tom also to cancer.
She later met and married Robert Hayes in Butte, they later moved to Hamilton, MT to enjoy what she loved most, working in their yard, she had a wonderful knack for landscaping. In 2008, she lost Bob.
Her biggest joy was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was looked to by all for strength, advice and guidance.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Leonard, Dewayne and sister Eyvonne; husbands, Gerald Barney, Tom Morgan and Bob Hayes.
One of her biggest sorrows was burying her daughter Margie at age 50 and her son Thomas (Ricky) Morgan III at age 5 after they both battled cancer.
She is survived by her children, Sherrie (Dan) Garrett, Donna (Barry) Cauwenberghs, David (Jen) Morgan, Ted (Susan) Hayes, Tom (Janice) Hayes, Toni (Norm) Hilton; son-in-law, Dennis Johnson; brother Ed Forgette; grandchildren, Lorraine (Curt) McElroy, Micheal (Melissia) Rodoni, Wendy (Joe) Ferguson, Danny (Jody) Rodoni, Janel (Jeff) Brenneman, Brian Morgan, Sienna Morgan, Corey Hayes, Casey (Marissa) Hayes, Kara (Scott) Morris, Adam Hayes, Melissa (Jeff) Hamm, Carrie (Joe) Sampson; Her great grandchildren, Kevin McElroy, Anthoney McElroy, Bridger and Rylan Rodoni, Alexandria, Cody, Brittney McQueen, Braxton and Dawson Rodoni, Morgan, Lexie, Josh and Austin Brenneman, Taylor Hayes, McKenna Sampson, McKinley Rae Hamm and Robert Reed Hayes due in October; numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friend Mary Ann Burke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Father Jack Darragh presiding. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. There will be a reception following the committal service in the funeral home's community room.
