Louis J. Lavergne Jr.

Corvallis - Louis James “Buzzy” Lavergne Jr., 68 of Corvallis passed away November 9, 2025 at his home in Corvallis.

He was born on September 16, 1957 in Anaconda, Montana to the late Nancy C. Strand and Louis J. Lavergne but he was raised by his mother and stepdad Floyd Boyle.

Following high school he joined the US Marine Corps. He served from 1974 to 1979. He was an expert rifleman. He was a SGT at the time of his discharge from the Marine Corps.

Buzzy was married to Shelly Kay Stevens-Lavergne for 30 years. He owned and operated a successful telemarketing business in the 80’s and 90’s.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shelly Kay Stevens-Lavergne on September 23, 2022.

He is survived by his son Dale T. Lavergne and daughter Toni D. Lavergne both of Corvallis; grandchildren, Brayden Hilde and Jasmyne also of Corvallis; brother Tony Lavergne of Ohio and sister Louise Lavergne of Anaconda, MT.

A celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date. Urn placement will be held at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula.
