Louise J. Wildey, long time Bitterroot Resident passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Cheney Care Center in Cheney Washington.
Louise was born March 2, 1928 to Albert and Laura (Mettler) Eichenberger in Meade County, South Dakota. Louise married Wilmer James Wildey, December 5, 1945.
The family moved to the Bitterroot in 1952. She lived at the family home in Conner, until recently.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer, her parents and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Wildey-Pryor (Don); Leigh Sullivan (Terry); Cathy Reese (Bruce), Grandchildren; Lara Baker, Sherry Larson, Peter Nolan, Torrey Sullivan, Jodi Sullivan-Jackson, Eric Reese and James Reese and several great grand children and one great-great granddaughter; numerous Sisters-in-Law, Nieces and Nephews.

Louise worked as Assistant Postmaster at the Conner Post Office for a number of years. When she retired she managed the Bitterroot Artist's Co-op in Darby for 15 years. Louise received many ribbons for her artwork. She was invited to show her work in Paris. Her work can be found in homes and business collections all over the world. Her Portrait of Chief Joseph hangs in the Darby Museum.
