Luella J. Strate

Hamilton - Luella J. Strate, 92 of Hamilton died of natural causes, Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
She was born December 3, 1916 in Darby to the late Allen and Arline Bear Jones. Luella was the eldest of three daughters. She attended high school in Darby and graduated salutatorian in 1934.
She married on November 21, 1936 to Dan E. Strate. They had two children; daughter Trudy and son Larry.
Luella was employed at Montana Power, Anthony's and Bitterroot Drug prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Frances Harrsch and Margaret Bringen.
Surviving include her daughter Trudy and son Larry; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Luella's name to "Help Hospitalized Veterans Craft Kits", 36585 Penfield Lane, Winchester, CA 92596.
