LYNDA M. DOLAN

CORVALLIS - Lynda Dolan, age 71 of Corvallis, Montana, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2016, at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, Montana.

She was born in Seattle, Washington, on February 20, 1945, the second of five children born to Vance and Margie Roberts.  Following high school, Linda attended Western Washington State College, and over the years worked as a medical laboratory technician and a paralegal.

In 1972 Lynda married Chester “Chet” Dolan, the love of her life, and together they ranched cattle and sheep in Broadus, Montana, before moving to Stevensville where they bred champion Appaloosa horses.  Besides riding and showing, Lynda enjoyed playing the organ, oil painting, golfing and fishing.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Nicholas, husband Chet, sister Carol and brother Richard.  She is survived by her sisters Phyllis Morehead and husband John of Nevada, and Judith Timothy Shepherd and husband Doug of Washington.  Lynda’s extended family included her good friends Diane and Dave Stenerson, and Sam and Loren Hochhalter and their children for whom she delighted in serving as “godmother” and Nana.  Her generous spirit and smile will be greatly missed by many co-workers, friends and neighbors who attended her traditional 4th of July picnics.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Lynda’s name to the First Tee Program in care of the Hamilton Golf Club, 1004 Golf Course Road, Hamilton, MT  59840, or a charity of your choice.
