DARBY - Marcia L. Majors, 60, of Darby passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her home from complication of cancer. She was born October 11, 1948 in Rock Island, IL the daughter of Melvin B. and Bertha Robinson.
- Marcia graduated from Mount Diablo High School in Concord, CA. Later in life Marcia also graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in communications. She moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1978 with her husband Paul. She went to work for the Trapper Creek Job Corps, finishing her career there as a counselor. While at Trapper, Marcia also worked in various roles on the forest fires; on the fire line, as camp crew, and as a human resource officer. In this role she was also involved in the Columbia Space Shuttle recovery. Marcia and Paul had two children, Jenny born in 1983 and Jacob born in 1986.
- Marcia enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, walking her dogs and loving her cats and spending time with her family and friends. She was a good and caring person; giving of her time and resources, she lived her life with love. Although not affiliated with any religion, she was a deeply spiritual person. Marcia will be missed by many.
- She was preceded in death by her parents. Marcia is survived by her husband Paul Lind of Darby; her daughter Jenny Lind of Missoula; her son Jacob Lind of Victor; her brother Wayne Robinson of Oakland, CA and many friends.
- The family suggests that memorial be made in Marcia's name to Guardian Angels at Guardian Oncology.
