Marcia Ann Walker

December 4, 1940 — February 8, 2023

Marcia Ann Walker, 82 of Corvallis passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her home in Corvallis. Marcia Ann Isaacson was born December 4th, 1940, in Scobey Montana to Clarence and Eunice Isaacson. She was the younger sibling of Leon and Janett Isaacson.

Marcia Ann was delightful and “slightly naughty” as a child. In her early years, Jan would have to sit in between Marcia and Leon to keep the peace. As a teenager, Marcia developed her true sense of style. Marcia would find a fashion design and her mom would create it. Sewing and design became talents that Marcia kept throughout her life.

Marcia got her two-year degree in education from Dillon Montana. Later, she went on to earn her bachelors at the University of Montana. She taught elementary school all over Montana, third grade was her favorite. It was at Rattlesnake School where she met the love of her life, Donn Walker. After Marcia checked “yes” not “no” on Donn’s written proposal, they married under the cotton wood trees on the ranch in Corvallis.

Their wedding day, October 6th, became Kathy’s and Kim’s new mother’s day. Marcia gained a sister in Barb, wife of Donn’s brother Duane. Barb and Duane’s children, Mark, Matt, Cheri and Mitch also gained a bonus mom, and cinnamon rolls. Marcia and Barb become lifelong co-conspirators. Life was eventful for the Walker bunch on the ranch, chasing pigs, avoiding Guinee hens, riding horses, and making pizzas at the Double D in Hamilton.

Together, Donn and Marcia continued teaching in Montana and eventually went to Alberta Canada for several years. Marcia and Donn adventured together in their Coach, all over the west and Midwestern states. If they were not out fine dining, you could find them home with Donn by the BBQ, or Marcia Ann cooking. “She was a hell of a cook”. Marcia and Donn spent their summers cavorting with Duane and Barb. Easter’s and spring breaks were enjoyed with Jan and Hugh sipping toddies and dancing.

Marcia and Donn retired to Polson Montana, where she could be close to her brother Leon and her sister Jan. The two sisters gardened, giggled, and just enjoyed themselves! After Donn’s passing, Marcia relocated to Corvallis where she built her stiletto castle, where you could find her reading, cross wording and listening to her dad’s music. She adored her dad. She loved hosting visits with her grandkids, many great grandkids, and great-great grandkids. It didn’t take long before Jan moved half a block away and joined Marcia for daily wine, mountain gazing, and more giggling.

Marcia died like she lived, as a lady. In the comfort of her stiletto castle, surrounded by her family who love her very much. She will be interred in Polson Montana with her sweetheart Donn. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
