Margie Loveland was born November 30, 1941, in her grandparents’ living room in Cave Creek, Arkansas (Mt. Judea), and passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her family.
As the oldest of nine children, she helped raise her siblings. Together, they spent their childhood following the seasons of harvest from Alabama to California with their family, picking everything from cotton to grapes. Those early years shaped her strong work ethic and deep love for family.
Margie left home at the age of 15, beginning a life journey defined by determination, resilience, and heart. At 17, she married Jim, and together they welcomed two children, Debi and Randy.
She was a true example of starting at the bottom and working her way up. Throughout her life, Margie climbed many company ladders and went on to start several successful businesses. In 1994, she founded Loveland Acres, an elder care facility in Darby, Montana. The facility became not only her passion, but also a place where her grandchildren made many fond memories growing up.
Margie had a deep love for people, but her true calling in life was her family. Most knew and loved her as “Grandma Pooh.” Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her and the center of her world. Grandma Pooh will be remembered for her strength, work ethic, unwavering devotion to family, and the warm hugs she gave so freely.
She is survived by her children, Debi and Randy; grandchildren, Travis; Mitchell (Diana); Marcus (Maggie); Marten; and Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Anna, Sophia, Leila, Ellaysa, Olivia, Liam, Emma, Jake, and Wade. She is further survived by her siblings, Junior (Kay), Donnie (Kay), and Gayla, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Jeri, Keith, Janelle, Andy, and Butch, and by her mother and father.
A celebration of Margie's life will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and honor her memory.
Per Margie's wishes, her ashes will be scattered at Beaver Creek in Darby, Montana, a place she cherished for camping with her grandchildren and creating lasting memories together. All friends and family are welcome to join. Details will be provided at the memorial.
Margie Loveland’s legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will live on in all who knew and loved her.
