Marianne Kroetz Nims

HAMILTON - Marianne Kroetz Nims, 76, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Marcus Daly Hospice and Palliative Care Center. She was born March 23, 1936 in Goeppingen, Germany the daughter of Fritz and Theresia Kroetz.
Marianne was raised and educated in Germany. She came to the United States in 1956 and settled in Colorado. Marianne moved to California a few years later. She married William "Bill" Nims in 1969. Marianne worked for Pacific Telephone Company for over 25 years, retiring in 1985. Bill passed away in 1986 and Marianne moved to Hamilton in 1992.
She had an affinity for animals and loved listening to her music. Marianne was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Hilde Kroetz and Else Krannich both of Gronau, Germany. She will also be greatly missed by her dear friends, especially Daniel and Wendy May, Gordon and Zynette Read, Lily Golden, Monica Blue and Bob Witt all in the Hamilton area.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Marianne's name to either Marcus Daly Hospice (1200 Westwood Dr., Hamilton, MT 59840) or to the Bitterroot Humane Association (262 Fairgrounds Rd, Hamilton, MT 59840).
