Marilyn Kay Scott

STEVENSVILLE – Marilyn K. Scott, 65, of Stevensville passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016.  She was born September 1, 1950 in Mitchell, SD the daughter of Merril and Rosemary Mendenhall.

After high school, Marilyn attended Kirkwood Community College of Cedar Rapids, IA and earned her degree in nursing.  She continued her career in nursing for over 44 years until her passing.  Marilyn married John L. Scott on July 3, 1971 in Rock Island, Illinois.  She loved all her animals, plants, crocheting, scroll saw wood crafting, fishing and hunting.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John LeRoy Scott, Jr.  She is survived by 4 children, Julie C. Scott of Marion, IA, John J. Scott of Australia, Benjamin L. Scott of Stevensville and Brandie Nielson of Springville, UT; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room.
