Marilyn Janice Suddock

November 28, 1937 — April 23, 2009

A woman best known for caring for everyone she came to know, who raised five wonderful children and was the sister to eight other siblings lost her courageous 7-year battle against breast cancer. Marilyn Janice (Silver) Suddock, 71, passed away April 23, 2009 at her home in Victor, Montana. Marilyn was born on November 28, 1937 in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Beaumont high school in 1955 near Palm Springs, California where she married and raised her five children.

Marilyn's children, Cindy Raysser, Tammy Robar, Melinda Bourassa, Lisa Shorter and Chuck Watkins now cherish the memories of their mother. They will continue to share those wonderful memories with their spouses Rick, Ed, Ken, Tim and Robin respectively. Her eleven grandchildren, Caitlin, Lucas, Amy, Joe, Travis, Sarah, Joshua, Rylee, Tabatha, Charity, and Chance will dearly miss their grandma who lovingly adored and cared for them all.

Marilyn lived a full life marrying twice. First marrying Calvin Charles Watkins in July 1955 who she birthed and raised their five children until 1981. She then later remarried to her surviving husband Bill Suddock from New Mexico in June 1989. Marilyn lived her life as a hard-working care giver for nearly all of her adult life. She continued to selflessly care for Bill and her family until literally the last week of her life.

A lifetime cannot simply be measured in years, rather it should be measured by the impact a person has on the lives of others. By this standard of measurement, Marilyn's life will score a perfect 10. She gave everything she could possibly give to her children and husband. Her weekly phone calls and emails to her children, sisters and friends are irreplaceable. Her loving care for her husband and Tammy and Melinda who lived close by, will also be greatly missed forever.

In honor of Marilyn's life, her children simply request that everyone that knew and loved her continue in her footsteps, never forgetting to take time for one another by reaching out over the phone or in person to say "I love you," just as mom did literally through the last words she was able to speak.

A memorial service will be planned in Beaumont, CA for her friends and family in late June 2009. Please plan to attend this service as information becomes available if you are able. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
