Darby - Marilyn Diane Weaver, 52 of Darby passed away Monday, January 25th at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
- Marilyn was born to Dale and Marzella Zook on May 2, 1957 in Clarksville, MI. She grew up surrounded by a loving family and community in Lake Odessa, MI where she lived, played and worked with her two older brothers, Daryl and Duane and her younger sister, Susan, on her father's farm. She became a strong woman marked by her ability to think for herself and her ever present desire to please the Lord and her family in all that she did. Upon graduating from high school she worked briefly as a nurses' aid in Ionia, MI before making the decision to move to north western Ontario, Canada to do volunteer work.
- In Canada, Marilyn served at a boarding school as a house mother in charge of a dorm full of high school aged girls. Her love for the troubled teens she worked with was apparent even years later when she would share her stories with her family. It was during her years of service there that Marilyn first met the man who would be her husband, Lloyd Weaver who also came to serve in the summer of 1980. Lloyd and Marilyn were married on Oct 3, 1981 and made their home in Myerstown, PA. Their first years together were spent driving truck from coast to coast. In order to best aid her husband, Marilyn got her CDL and took to driving Lloyd's Peterbuilt alongside of him.
- On July 16, 1987 she gave birth to her first son Durrel Lamar and 15 months later on Oct 20, 1988 her daughter Dawn Renee joined the family; on Sept. 6, 1992 she had her third and final child, Kent Allen. Marilyn made the decision to stay home mothering and teaching her children, home schooling them all. When the children were still young the family chose to move to the Bitterroot Valley, settling in Darby, MT. A few years after the move, Lloyd began pastoring Woodside Mennonite Church and Marilyn again served alongside of him. Upon leaving this area of ministry Marilyn immediately became involved with Cross Trainer's Youth Group of Darby. She spent a lot of time praying for, loving on, and teaching many young people.
- Marilyn is remembered as having a big heart that loved anyone and everyone. She was quick witted, wise, outspoken and above all filled with life and faith down to the moment she went. As much as she loved her family and friends she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, so very much more. Her family finds peace and true joy in knowing that Marilyn is in heaven playing with Jesus and serving Him there just as she would be if she were still here. They are waiting in eager expectation of the day they get to join her!
