Mark "Rick" Carter

Rick Carter passed away at home on November 15, 2020.

He was born in San Francisco on October 12, 1948. He grew up in Germany, Hawaii and Oregon, finally settling in the Bitterroot Valley in 1992. Rick retired from Ravalli County Sheriff's Office after a career as a corrections officer. He loved to hunt and fish and was a lifetime member of the NRA. To everyone who knew him, he had a heart of gold and brightened people's lives with his sense of humor. Rick was a very talented artist, spending his free time painting, woodcarving and restoring classic trucks.

He loved his family above all else and is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kim and his children Erin, Jesse, Erika, Jennifer and Tiffany. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Isabella, Kiera, Finn, Teagan, Braden, Christain, Cannon, Carter, Hudson, Brian and Abe.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 21st at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel from 11-1. Please join his family for refreshments and memories.
