Marlys Jean Pfyffer

Marlys Jean Pfyffer, 85 of Hamilton went to join her Savior Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice due to natural causes.
Marlys was born November 6, 1928 in Tagus, North Dakota to Fred and Amanda Pfeifer. She attended Corvallis Schools through 10th grade and then attended and graduated from Hamilton High School.
Marlys worked at Ravalli County Bank for her junior and senior year of High School and until she got married. On April 17, 1947 she married Ernest Pfyffer.
Marlys was a Red Cross donor, election judge, seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church alter guild and LWML. She was VP and President of the Golden Age Club.
Marlys was preceded in death by her parent and her husband.
Surviving include her brother, Ellsworth (Bob) Pfeifer of Hamilton; sister, Lenore Hutchings of Townsend, MT; daughters, Terry (Jerry) Romanyszyn of Spokane, WA., Penny (Sam) Ewalt of Columbia Falls, MT., Vickie (Eric) Martinez of Maricopa, AZ., Patsy Mills (Dave Thorsen) of Helena, MT; son, Larry (Teena) Pfyffer of Missoula; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; nephew, Robert Karstens of Hamilton; niece, Judy Karstens of Baker City, OR; nephew, Dan Hutchings of Townsend, MT; nieces, Diana Jones of Littleton, CO and Karen Schultz of Tulsa, OK.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 7th at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hamilton with Pastor Vern Sandersfeld officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall at Grace Lutheran Church.
The pallbearers are, Chad Ewalt, Kevin Pfyffer, Jerry E. Romanyszyn, Jerry Romanyszyn, Eric Martinez and Sam Ewalt.
The family suggests memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Endowment Fund or the Salvation Army.
