Martha "Marti" Olson

Rev. Martha (Marti) Olson went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Marti was born June 23, 1928, to Alma and Henry Story in Braintree MA. She attended Braintree schools. She graduated from Zion Bible Institute and Cape Cod School of Nursing.

Marti married Bud Olson in 1953. When she and Bud retired, they moved to the Bitterroot Valley where Bud was from.

Marti belonged to the Montana State Old Time Fiddlers. She played and sang with the Stevi Strings Band. Through the years she sang and played her guitar on many occasions and was Church soloist in a number of Churches.

Marti was a member of 2 Camping groups – the Sapphire Good Sams and the Free Wheelers. She was a life time member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary.

She was proud of the fact that 3 of her ancestors came to Plymouth, MA, on the Mayflower, and she became a member of the Mayflower Society. In her later years she joined the Red Hat Club.

She loved her many friends and her nieces and nephews very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Bud, her sister Naomi & her brother Henry.
