DARBY - Mary Ellen Allard, 67, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at her home in Darby. She was born May 24, 1943 in Portland, OR. Mary was a graphic designer, mother, and registered nurse specializing in emergency care. During her last years she worked at the Darby Library, sharing her appreciation of reading with the community. Mary loved her home in the Bitterroot and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hiking.
Mary is survived by her daughters Sarah Allard of Washington, D.C., and Ariel van Spronsen of Seattle, WA.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Mary's name to the Darby Library, 101 S. Marshall St., Darby, MT 59829.
