HAMILTON - Mary Louise (Burns Fleming) Goligoski, 94, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011. Mary Lou, born October 7, 1916, in Billings, was the only child of Jacob and Jeanette (Cormier) Burns. At the age of 2, Mary Lou lost her father when pneumonia set in after an operation (4-19-18). Jeanette married Grover Fleming, (8-19-19) and this union gave Mary Lou a stepsister and four younger brothers. Her family owned a grocery store in Livingston and she grew up riding horses and camping.
She married Joe Goligoski on June 8, 1938. He had the kindest eyes she had ever seen! They had four boys who were her pride and joy - they could do no wrong. Mary Lou was a woman of many talents and did everything without any fussiness. She crafted miniatures, served as a Pink Lady at St. Vincent's, sewed for local charities, played cards, was an avid bowler and golfer, devoted Catholic, and volunteered for meals on wheels for several years. She was an ardent reader and an extreme crossword puzzle solver.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Joseph Goligoski, in 1981; two sons, James Goligoski (1999) and John Goligoski (2010); Siblings Marie (Fleming) Robbins, John "Jack" Fleming, and Patrick Fleming.
