Mary Ellen Hoblitt

Mary Ellen Hoblitt, 96 of Darby passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
Mary Ellen was born March 17, 1918 in Harlowton, Montana to the late Lloyd and Marie Jeanblanc Moore. She moved to Hamilton as a young child. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1935. She attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, WA.
She married Douglas Hoblitt on March 20, 1942 and they have remained a loving couple for over 72 years. She worked as a secretary for the Darby Schools and was a bookkeeper for People's Market. She was also the bookkeeper for their log trucking business in Darby for over 15 years.
She was a member of the Leona Chapter Order of Eastern Star # 31 for over 50 years.
She is survived by three children, David (Kathy) Hoblitt of Portland, OR., Linda (Duane) Irwin of Hamilton, MT., and Jan (Russell) Zeiler of Darby, MT; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; twin sister, Mary Elaine Slocum.
At the family's request there will be no funeral services.
