Mary Helen (Moore) Wallace

January 23, 1936 — February 1, 2014

Hamilton - Mary Helen (Moore) Wallace, 78, of Hamilton passed away in her sleep Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. Helen was born Jan. 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Lucy and George Moore.

Helen was raised in El Paso, Texas but came to the Bitterroot Valley in 1966 and after a few years away she returned to the place she always considered home.

Throughout her life Helen was an avid writer of short stories and novels, a poet, a vocalist and violinist, and she was known for her strong Christian faith, but above all else she was a mother and grandmother. She was known for her unconditional love and compassion for her friends and family and for her ability to make others laugh. She had a soft spot for animals and was rarely without a favorite dog or cat to keep her company.

Helen is survived by her five children, Tina, Dawn, Heather, Lee, Mark, and their father and good friend Mannon Wallace. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jordan, Zoe, Calin, Summer, Genny, Jesse, Tanner, Olivia, Ivy, and Zane, and her brother Richard
Laurence Moore.

We'll miss you, Mom.
