Mary K. Pittman

Mary K. Pittman, 93, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. She was born August 31, 1918 in Knoxville, TN. She and her husband, Guilford, lived in Cincinnati OH, Tucson, AZ, and Moreno Valley, CA. They were married 59 years. In 2005, Mary K. moved to Hamilton and said that she "saved the best for last."
Mary K. was always active in church wherever they lived and taught Sunday school and worked in the church nursery until she turned 70. She retired from Hughes Aircraft in Tucson, AZ in 1976 after a 20-year career making and inspecting missiles.
Mary K. is preceded in death by her husband, Guilford, their daughter Oreada Mitchell, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and her four sisters.
She is survived by daughter, Donna Cooney (Patrick) of Hamilton, grandchildren: Mary Kennelly (David) of VA; John Mitchell (Beth) of TX; Susan Adams of CO; Jennifer LeBlanc (Jay) of CO, Donna Stockton (David) of CO; and Kevin Cooney of CA as well as 13 great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association or First Presbyterian Church in Hamilton.
