In loving memory of Mary Sublette who passed away March 30, 2023.
Mary was raised in San Jose, California where she met her husband, Dick Sublette. Dick and Mary met as young kids, in grade school. Dick's love for her was unquestionable, so much so that he drove her to high school every day and waited until they could finally be married after she graduated. The two married, September 15th, 1956.
Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, gracious and kind grandmother and great grandmother. She loved all her family intensely. She was the caring, graceful, humorous, sharp, and compassionate, matriarch she was ultimately destined to be.
She enjoyed water skiing, traveling, gardening, and baking. Mary, or "Buzzy" as friends and family endearingly called her, always strove to make all that came into her presence feel appreciated, loved, and happy. She had many friends in her lifetime, her affinity for caring for others drew people to her. Mary truly had a smile that could light up a room.
Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.
She is walking with the angels now, so if you find yourself walking near the river, hiking in the mountains, and feel a friendly presence, it may be Mary, shining you on and elevating your step.
Mary is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dick Sublette of Hamilton MT; her two children and their spouses, son Rich Sublette and wife Bobbie Sublette of Hamilton MT and daughter Carrie Dick and husband Ron Dick of Rocklin, CA; four grandchildren and their respective spouses, Lauren Dick, Austin Dick, Candice Adams and husband John Adams and Corinne Sublette and husband Two Stars Scott; two great-grandchildren, Winter Scott and Wilder Adams.
"God bless the finest 68 years of my life. You helped me become a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa." - Dick Sublette, adoring husband
