Mathew David Doney

Mathew "Mat" David Doney, 27 of Hamilton passed away of natural causes, March 29th in Glendive, MT. Mat was born October 3, 1986 in Portland, Washington to Dwayne and Patricia Doney.

After completing his education he taught himself mechanics. He was one of the best mechanics and could do things some people rarely thought about. He would research through books, the internet and friends and end up putting it all together. Mat would do anything he could for anyone who needed help. He gave even what he didn't have.
Mat had a passion for anything outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, shooting, biking and working on the ranch with Andy. He could be rough on the outside but would melt when he was with his kids.

Mat was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Alice Colvin and Karlene Doney; step-dad, Dan Ray, aunts and uncles.

Surviving include his son, Samuel Doney of Hamilton; daughter, Atavia Paddock of Hamilton; mother, Patricia Doney of Hamilton; father Dwayne of California; his significant other, Kayla Paddock of Hamilton; Kayla's children, Cherrish, Karizma and Skyler; sisters, DeeDee Doney, Karlena Doney and Debbie Doney and brother, Shaun Doney.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a memorial fund at the Ravalli County Federal Credit Union in Mat's name.
