May F. Quackenbush

February 24, 1916 — February 22, 2009

May Quackenbush, 92, of Hamilton passed away Feb. 22, 2009, at the Aaron Care Home, in Corvallis, MT, where she resided since Sept. 2008.

May was born Feb. 24, 1916, in Ignacio, CO., to Charles Ray and Maidie May Williams.



She loved to travel and resided in Colorado, Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, Montana and Puerto Rico. She also visited Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Panama.



May was a member of the Eastern Star and of various Bridge Clubs. (Her motto was, if you played Bridge, you would always make friends wherever you lived). She had a great sense of humor.

May was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.



She is survived by two sons Kenneth (Gisela) Koplin of Rifle. CO. and Dan (Sandy) Koplin of Ashland, MT; a stepson, Donald (Joan) Koplin; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Koplin; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Earl Walker, Henry G. Koplin and C.R. Quackenbush; two sisters, Evelyn Crabb and Ruth Knoblock; her brother, Charles Williams and her son, Dr. James Koplin.



In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to Marcus Daly Hospice, 1200 Westwood Drive, Hamilton. MT. 59840 or a charity of your choice.
