Milton Glen Harshbarger

Conner - Milton Glen Harshbarger, age 62, of Conner passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home. He was born February 11, 1951, in Roswell, New Mexico to Robert Glen Harshbarger and Mildred Elizabeth Pillers.

In 1966, Milton moved with his family to Snyder, Oklahoma. In 1967, they moved to Holyoke, Colorado. Milton graduated from Holyoke High School in 1969. Then, because of his love of the mountains, he moved to Aspen, Colorado and worked for cable TV for several years.

Milton then joined the US Army because of his love of aviation. He became a helicopter pilot, warrant officer and flight instructor. After 6 years, he left the military to pursue a career as a civilian helicopter pilot. For many years he traveled the world flying for different companies. Milton then decided to make his permanent home in his beloved Bitterroot Valley. Milton also loved his family and made many friends far and wide. A few of his very favorite things were aviation, motorcycles, traveling and working with his hands.

Milt was preceded in death by his father, and sister, Glenda Harshbarger Fuehrer. He is survived by his mother, Mildred Harshbarger; his brother, Mark Harshbarger and wife Tami; his sister, Beth Harshbarger Micci and husband Edward; 6 children, Danielle Tondre and husband Ronnie, Brecken Harshbarger Fenwick and husband Levi, Lacey Harshbarger Gipe and husband Jordan, Katie Smith and husband Wes, Zachary Harshbarger and Nathan Harshbarger; and ten grandchildren.

The family wishes for memorials to be made in Milt's name to Daly-Leach Chapel, 1010 West Main St., Hamilton, MT 59840.
