Nancy Lynn Brown, aged 69, passed away peacefully in Hamilton, Montana, on the morning of April 1, 2026, after a lengthy debilitating illness.
Nancy was born at West Point, New York, to Robert and Esther Brown. After her father retired from the U.S. Army, the family moved to central Pennsylvania where Nancy graduated from high school. She attended the University of Idaho before moving to Delta Junction, Alaska. There she worked for the U.S. Army at Fort Greely as an information technology specialist until retiring in 2012. An independent woman, she lived alone in a cabin and took pride in gardening. After suffering a stroke in 2020, she moved to Hamilton, Montana, so that her sister could care for her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother David (Karen) Brown of Fairbanks, Alaska; her sister Deborah (David) Bedey of Hamilton, Montana, two nephews, Robert Brown of Stafford, Virginia, and Mark Brown of Fairbanks, Alaska; and a niece, Karis Bedey of Beverly Hills, California.
Nancy will be laid to rest near her parents in Delta Junction, Alaska. A memorial service will take place in Alaska sometime this summer.
