Nancy M. Holt

HAMILTON - Nancy M. Holt, 71, of Hamilton passed away Feb. 10, 2009 surrounded by her family at Marcus Daly Hospital.

Nancy was born in LeCompte, La. Sept. 18, 1937 to L.P. and Issy Whatley.

In 1955, Nancy married Raymond Holt, whom she met at a skating rink in Louisiana when Ray was in the service, stationed at Fort Polk. Ray brought Nancy to the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, where she resided for the rest of her wonderful life. Nancy met and touched many people's lives through her weekly garage selling trips.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, L.P. Whatley; sister, Sarah Chamberline; grandson, Michael Duus; and her two nephews.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray Holt; two daughters, Linda Kearns of Hamilton, Susan White of Helena; son, Bob and Jamie Holt of Hamilton; sister, Allie Tabb of Le Compte, La.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by her family and all of her many friends.
