Hamilton

Nicholas 'Nick' Carl DeYoung, a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 5, 2024 in Hamilton, Montana. He was 84 years young. Nick was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 25, 1939 to his loving parents, Robert and Guelda DeYoung. As a boy the family visited a Montana ranch where he and his brother fell in love with Montana and went on to retire in Big Sky country. Nick graduated from Florida Southern College and served honorably in the US Navy as a pilot.  Nick was always an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He also loved field trials and hunting with his beloved dog, Monkey. Nick was a big sports fan, especially of the Florida State Seminoles and the Montana Grizzlies. He was a regular customer of the Coffee Cup where he loved to take his meals and socialize with other patrons and staff.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas DeYoung Jr.; brother Robert 'Bob' DeYoung; sister Virginia 'Ginny' Thompson; grandson Nicholas Tyler DeYoung and many nieces and nephews.

Nick now begins his new journey in Heaven with his son Bradley Arden DeYoung, Susan Lee DeYoung (wife of 25 years) and other family members he lost. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on in those who love him.

"Your life was a Blessing, Your memory a Treasure, You are loved beyond Words, And missed beyond Measure"
