Patricia Anne Gilchrist

HAMILTON - Patricia Anne Devoe Gilchrist 86 of Hamilton Mt passed away peacefully Friday March 22, 2024 with her daughter, Dotti, present.

Pat was born in Houlton, Maine to George & Thankful Devoe the 3rd of 4 children. She graduated from Houlton High School and married Harold Brasch, they had 2 children and later divorced. She met and married Duncan Gilchrist.

Pat dreamt of going to Alaska, so in 1962 they drove from Houlton, Maine to Anchorage, Alaska with 2 kids in a VW Bug. Pat had many adventures in Anchorage, Haines, Kodiak and Afognak Island, until 1976 when they moved to the Bitterroot Valley of Montana.

Pat devoted her life to her Church and family. She had a great life full of adventures to Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Hawaii and the Oregon Coast, as well as compassion and a strong work ethic.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; daughters, Lydia and Heather; and her husband, Duncan.  She is survived by her children, Dotti, Harold (Cathleen), Stuart (Mara), Gordon, and Brian; grandchildren, Krystal, Adam, Olivia, Lucy; great- grandchildren, McKenzie, Jaxson, Presley, and Sienna; her sister, Maxine; brother, Glenn; and best friends, Leah Kennedy and Daisy.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 5th at 12:00 pm at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hamilton Mt, with a private burial at a later date.
