Patrick Michael Brower

September 2, 1957 — October 28, 2022

Pastor Patrick M. Brower, 65 of Victor passed away Friday, October 28th, 2022 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula surrounded by his family.

He was born Sept. 2nd, 1957 in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Elwood and Catherine Brower. Patrick was raised in Chester with his two older brothers, Micheal (Mike) and Elwood Jr (Woody). He graduated from Chichester High School in 1976, where he was an active member of the football team. Following high school he attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was blessed with a true talent for art from a young age, and he spent several very successful years airbrushing T-shirts in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Patrick moved to Montana in 1986 with his brother Mike. They enjoyed the great outdoors and hunting in the Big Sky Country.

He married the love of his life Christine L. Lucas on January 2nd, 1987 and they settled into the Bitterroot Valley.

They had their first child on March 6th, 1989. Patrick was a devoted and loving father, who always had time for his children. He was faithful to provide a stable environment for them and his wife. Even when he was exhausted from work he devoted time to his children, making up personal bedtime stories, getting on the floor to play on their level, teaching them life skills and instilling morals. He was a superb example of what a father should be and his children will always strive to follow it.

Patrick started his own business creating custom glass etchings. He primarily etched wildlife scenes and has work installed in 48 states.

Patrick had many interests aside from art. He grew up dreaming of being a cowboy, learning to hunt with his brothers and hiking with his family. He studied martial arts under Jim Harrison and earned several black belt stripes. He enjoyed his horses, riding for pleasure and using them to pack out big game in the mountains. He never met a dog that didn’t love him even though he was allergic to them. He was a skilled carpenter who built his own structures, animal shelters, furniture, and toys for his children. He was a family man above all, but his life was truly blessed when he found the Lord.

Patrick was called to pastor at the Church of God in Hamilton, MT during the year of 2000. He was a faithful servant for 22 years, and said the Lord was giving him a sermon even in his last days at the hospital. He was dedicated to gleaning every ounce of truth he could from the Bible and sharing it with anyone who would listen. He will be sorely missed by the church, but they are rejoicing in confidence that he has earned his reward in heaven.

Patrick is preceded in death by his daughter Holly, his parents Elwood and Catherine Brower and his brother Woody Brower. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Christine, 4 children and 3 grandchildren - Decker (Irina), Heidi (Daniel Alteneder), Hannah and Matthew Brower; Esmea (4) Brower, Obadiah (2) and Jedidiah (1) Alteneder. He is also survived by his eldest brother Micheal Brower (Mary), who was almost more of a second father than a sibling.

Patrick’s memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5th 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Daly-Leach Chapel with Pastor David E. Stegmeier from Canby, OR officiating. A reception will follow in the Community Room.
